Columbus Day Storm

Mother determined looked to the sky
Dark clouds of many gray shades passed us by
All that stood upright wavered unsteady
My mother to protect us was always ready
Walking up the hill towards the black crow colored house
We went inside to stay ready by the candle light
What blew that day was my feeling of power
Both mother and mother nature that day never cowered
