Ceder Creast

We were just kids looking for action
we thought OLY OLY oxin FREE was the Thing
we hid and found and did one two three
we were free to be kids with no fear

Had we known now what we knew then
we were a different sort of kids to contend
we thought of only one thing to realize
we were kids that capitalized on life

Fun was the reason we felt alive
we were never worried about the rites
we felt that we should not fight
we knew any day we would be away

When growing up we learned that life was hard
we had difficulties aside from our daily chores
we felt that we were victims of our parents desires
we were Ceder Crest street kids who needed fun

We in ideas are those who had ambitions
we think so cuz we heard them all
we had friends that told us what we must do
we can tell you we really never had a clue

Were we as it was our only lives goal thrives
we kids to be so strict that we lost our lives
we understand that only this makes us strong
we are ready to understand for this we belong

Just suspecting the years us we leave unaccomplished
we need more days to complete our plans to arrive
we see that time is running out our bodies no longer able
we are fearful that the change will not avail our lives

Kids we were, but known we our own rightful place
we stay as the supporters of our street and our say
we were happy to do what we invented and remain
we the happy children who lived on Ceder Crest Way

We Lairdy Bear

We lived separate but entwined lives
our passing days we did find respite
we sought refuge in our many words
we felt close our destiny to learn

Is it enough did we make our mark
to some day find that we were short
our ideas not as we say them to be
realizing that this not our destiny

Give us more time to find our place
this day besought our eternal grace
we find less our capacity to create
our lives to live just one more day

This day came a place hard marked
driving felt to call you to hear your voice
words responded that you were gone
where I asked thinking to somewhere I know

The words came back you were passed away
these words drummed my heart to tears flooding
my mind was full of nothing but the you who were
my speach gave way to deep loud sobs of loss yearning

The abyss of loss I felt was infinite and loudly yelling
my mind ears deaf with my own crying not discerning
to loose what was my own life mother's connection
and child hood learnings of a brother he LairdyBear

Lairdybear, oh Lairdybear we will miss you surely
you will always be in our minds and souls to that day
when we all will be missed from all those who miss
a passing of a great and noble loved one like you

Lairdybear, Lairdybear missing your dearly
